Candidates can enroll in postgraduate academic studies if they have previously completed their basic academic studies and earned at least 240 ECTS credits.
Candidates who have graduated from the Faculty of Security Studies or a related faculty and whose GPA is at least 8 (eight) can enroll in master’s degree studies directly.
Candidates who have graduated from a non-related faculty or have a GPA lower than 8 (eight) can enroll in these studies after passing a complementary exam.
Faculties related to the Faculty of Security Studies include all the faculties of the University of Belgrade involved in the humanities (the Faculty of Economics, the Faculty of Law, the Faculty of Political Sciences, the Faculty of Teacher’s Training, the Faculty of Philology and the Faculty of Orthodox Theology), as well as the following academies: the Criminology and Police Academy and the Military Academy.
The master’s degree curriculum consists of compulsory and optional courses providing knowledge and skills necessary for obtaining a degree at the level of postgraduate academic studies i.e. master’s degree studies.
Master’s degree studies are aimed at enabling students to conduct research work individually and participate in team academic research projects in the fields studied at the faculty. Security management studies develop general and specific knowledge, skills and competences necessary for the profession of security managers in the field of security, defense, human and social resources, civil protection and environment protection. These studies are multidisciplinary in character and encompass economic, political, legal, ethical, information, ecological, humanitarian, and other aspects of the phenomenon of security.
The curriculum comprises the following activities:

An adequate amount of class and research activities
After successfully passing their exams, students are required to write and defend their master’s degree thesis.
